Wim Wenders’ new feature film, EVERY THING WILL BE FINE, along with its star cast, will be celebrating its World Premiere in Official Selection of the Berlin International Film Festival 2015 (*out of competition). The director, who has received three Oscar© nominations (BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB; PINA; THE SALT OF THE EARTH), has decided to make another 3D film, after his hit dance film PINA, and explores the development of three-dimensional possibilities of expression for the first time in an intimate family drama.

Based on an original script by Norwegian Bjørn Olaf Johannessen, Wim Wenders tells the story of the author Tomas (James Franco) in EVERY THING WILL BE FINE. One day a car accident transforms his life. Even though he is not directly to blame for this tragedy, it still causes his relationship with his girlfriend to break apart. Tomas falls into a deep hole. He seeks retreat in his writing and tries to start his own family with a new love. The film looks at Tomas’ attempt to give his life meaning again and recounts his search for forgiveness. It is not time alone that heals wounds but the courage to face up to things and to forgive. Especially oneself.

EVERY THING WILL BE FINE is a production from Neue Road Movies in coproduction with Montauk Productions (Canada), Bac Films (France), Göta Film (Sweden), and MER Film (Norway), financed by Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Eurimages, Filmförderungsanstalt, Deutscher Filmförderfonds and the Federal Government’s Minister of Culture and Media Affairs. HanWay Films in London handles the world sales. The film was shot at original locations in Montréal and surrounding areas. Warner Bros. Pictures Germany will release EVERY THING WILL BE FINE in German cinemas on 2 April 2015.
