Despite the current challenges for the world of cinema, the German distributor Filmwelt Verleihagentur is going to release Luca Lucchesi’s directorial debut A BLACK JESUS digitally on www.filmwelt-digital.de May 20, 2021, and thereby supporting cinemas financially at the same time.

The Filmwelt Digital platform presents the opportunity to show the film to an audience online, while at the same time sharing the proceeds with the cinemas through the cinema aid fund.

Ticket sales start on May 10, 2021 (€ 12 per ticket, group ticket from 10 people € 10/ticket , from 20 people € 8/ticket).

As soon as it will be possible again, the film will also be shown in cinemas.

A BLACK JESUS opened this year’s 42nd film festival Max Ophüls Preis, is currently running at various festivals such as Vision du Réel (Switzerland, April 15 – 25, 21), CPH:DOX (Denmark, April 21 – May 12, 21) and Hot Docs Film Festival (Canada, April 29 – May 09, 21).
